Creating product variations is essential for managing a diverse product catalog efficiently. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to create and manage product variations using Apimio PIM. Product variations allow you to offer different options, such as size, color, or other attributes, for a single product.

Steps to Create Product Variants

Step 1: Access the Dashboard

Log in to your Apimio PIM account.

Once logged in, you will be directed to the dashboard.

Step 2: Navigate to Product Variants

From the dashboard, locate and click on the "Products" tab in the navigation menu.

After clicking "Products," you will be taken to the product management page.

Step 3: Add Variants

In the left-hand menu, select "Variants."

Click on "Add Variants" to begin creating a new product variation.

Step 4: Configure the Variant

A popup window will appear, prompting you to configure the variant.

Provide an "Option Title," which represents the attribute you want to create variations for. Common examples include "Size," "Color," "Material," etc.

Under "Manage Options," enter the values or options for the selected attribute. For instance, if your attribute is "Size," you might add options like "Small," "Medium," and "Large."

Once you've added the attribute title and its options, click "Save" to confirm your changes.

Step 5: View the Variant

Your newly created variant will now be added to the list of product variations.

You can view and manage all your product variations from this list.

To edit or make changes to an existing variant, simply click on it in the list, and the popup window will appear again, allowing you to modify the options.

Step 6: Create Additional Variations (Optional)

Repeat steps 3 to 5 as needed to create as many product variations as required for your products.

Each new variant you create will be added to the list for easy access and management.

Steps to manage product variants

Step 1: Access the Product

Log in to your Apimio PIM account.

Once logged in, navigate to "All Products" in your dashboard.

Step 2: Select a Product

Browse or search for the product you want to manage variants for.

Click on the product to access its details.

Step 3: Access Variant Management

You will now be directed to the product details page.

Look for the upper bar or navigation menu on this page.

Click on the "Variants" option to access variant management for this product.

Step 4: Manage Variants

A list of variants associated with the selected product will appear.

Within this list, you can perform various actions to manage the variants.

To edit a variant, locate the one you want to modify and click on it.

Step 5: Edit Variant Details

After clicking on a variant, you will be directed to a page where you can make changes.

Modify the variant details as needed. You can update information such as the variant name, quantity, UPC/ISBN, price, weight, and more.

To add more variant options, you can do so in this section as well.

Step 6: Save Changes

After making the desired changes to the variant, scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Locate and click the "Save" or "Update" button to save your modifications.

Step 7: Repeat as Necessary

If you need to manage multiple variants for the same product or make changes to other products, simply repeat these steps as needed.
