Importing product data is a crucial aspect of managing your products efficiently in Apimio PIM. Whether you have a CSV file ready or need to start from scratch, Apimio offers two convenient ways to import your product information.

Method 1: Importing When You Don't Have a CSV

Follow these steps;

  1. Login and Navigate to products

Start by logging in to your Apimio PIM account and accessing the dashboard.

From the dashboard, click on the "Products" tab.

  1. Select Import

Within the Products section, locate and click on "Import." You will be directed to the page, where you will have the option to download Apimio’s Sample CSV.

  1. Download a Sample CSV

On the Import page, you'll find an option to download a sample CSV file. Click on that.

Save the downloaded sample CSV file to your computer.

  1. Populate the CSV

Open the CSV file and populate it with your product details according to your needs.

Save the populated CSV file on your computer.

  1. Upload to Apimio Dashboard

Return to the Apimio Dashboard, go back to the Import page, and upload the CSV file you've just populated.

Method 2: Importing When You Have a CSV

Follow these steps;

  1. Access the Dashboard

Log in to your Apimio PIM account and access the dashboard.

  1. Create Attribute Sets (Optional)

Apimio offers its own mapping field attributes. If you have additional attributes to create, you can do so by:

Going to "Attribute Sets" and creating the desired attribute sets.

Alternatively, you can add attributes directly by clicking on "Add Attribute."

  1. Import the CSV

Return to the dashboard and go to the "Products" section.

Within the Products section, locate and click on "Import."

  1. Map the Fields

During the import process, you'll need to map the fields from your CSV to the desired attributes you've set up in Apimio. Follow the prompts to do this.

Click "Next" to proceed, and you will directed to the import configuration stage.

  1. Fill in the Import Configuration Popup

Fill in the required information in the import configuration popup, ensuring it matches your import needs.

Once you've filled out the import configuration, click "Start Importing" to initiate the import process.

By following these steps, you'll be well on your way to efficiently importing and managing your product data in Apimio PIM.
